The role you’ll contribute:

Patient Advocate position requires excellent customer service skills and ability to work with all types of people. Represents the patient’s best interest on the healthcare team (as needed) and understands sensitivity to anxiety patients and their families can suffer when hospitalized. Must be able to show empathy, compassion, stay calm and be professional when patients and/or family members are upset or angry, and work with department leaders to help resolve issues, when a resolution is possible.

· Strong service skills and ability to provide sensitive communication effectively across multiple situations and personality types.

· Ability to build trust, rapport and work in a supportive way to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

· Ability to handle stressful situations, work with a sense of urgency, work on multiple projects, and be flexible and adaptable to change

· Takes patient complaints and works with directors to resolve.

· Keeps log of patient complaints and follows -up appropriately

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

· Bachelor of Science in Nursing

· Two years of experience in nursing

· Demonstrated experience in customer service

· State of Florida RN License

· BLS
