Additional Compensation Details: $29.00 per hour Dependent on Experience and Location of Role Potential 90-day performance-based raise Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a hard-working and reliable warehouse lead to join our growing operation in a brand new warehouse team. Requires high level supervisory and interpersonal skills. Must have a solid background with the experience and ability to manage the following areas: self-management and workload, scheduling and training of staff, directing a warehouse crew to manage each day efficiently in a section of a large, refrigerated warehouse. Responsible for warehouse floral inventory, order accuracy, customer service, productivity levels, and equipment and facility maintenance reporting. Coordinates warehouse activities under the direction of the Operation's Warehouse Manager. This position is accountable for ensuring a well-coordinated shift. Essential Functions Responsible for safe and efficient warehouse operations while fostering a positive work environment, in accordance with regulatory agency requirements. Directs day-to-day activities of the floralsection of the warehouse. Such activities include staffing needs, shipping procedures, and might have some shared duties with receiving, sanitation, maintenance, inventory control, and other departments as needed. Understands and provides direction on warehouse and inventory control procedures in accordance with company policy. Responsible for warehouse staff management including overtime rates and progressive disciplinary practices through further training as needed with verbal and written documentation. Generates warehouse productivity reports (i.e. piece count report), regarding order pick rates and accounts for all labor hours, both direct and indirect. Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform the distribution functions by reporting necessary facility and equipment damage or safety concerns. Responsible for following and enforcing warehouse safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of OSHA local and state regulations. Acts as replacement for the Operations Warehouse Manager during vacation periods, or when the Operations Warehouse Manager is unavailable to address warehouse concerns. Effectively communicates with fellow supervisors, other employees, and managers to achieve short and long-term goals. Requires the ability to partner with and assume some human resources duties including, but not limited to, interviewing, performance appraisals, motivation, and providing a non -discriminatory work environment.
