Meta Technical Program Manager, MR Product Design Engineering in Seattle, Washington

Summary:

Our product engineering team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies of AR & MR products. We are focused on integrating and launching new technologies from early concept to launch while iterating, prototyping, and realizing the human value and new experiences they open up.

Required Skills:

Technical Program Manager, MR Product Design Engineering Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with Product Design Engineering enabling the definition and execution of next generation hardware program

  2. Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times and business needs

  3. Manage communication within and between internal cross functional and external partners

  4. Develop milestone schedule, communicate program statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks

  5. Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and technology development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery

  6. Manage delivery of hardware for the development builds and ensure qualification to meet mass production timelines

  7. Coordinate and drive engineering deliverables, including specifications, DOE and validation plans

  8. Ensure program documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review

  9. Contribute to resource planning to ensure program success and objectives are met

  10. Up to 20% travel

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS in Mechanical Engineering field or equivalent experience

  2. 3+ years experience working as a technology development program manager for consumer electronics

  3. Experience in ODM/JDM/CM vendor engagement models

  4. Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development projects

  5. Experience with mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation and characterization processes

  6. Communication, planning skills, and attention-to-detail

  7. Knowledge of program and issue tracking and version control software

  8. Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and projects

  9. Experience maintaining a positive view, be a source of team morale, composed and effective in a fast-paced dynamic environment

  1. 5+ years experience working as a technology development program manager for consumer electronics

  2. 2+ years experience working in a mechanical engineering field preferred

  3. Experience in first party product development, defining requirements and program constraints, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders

Public Compensation:

$134,000/year to $196,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
