Amazon Web Services (AWS) is building a world-class marketing organization, and we are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to help us build measurement and optimization capabilities to fuel the marketing team’s performance and growth.

You will play a crucial role in driving the execution of complex scientific programs involving machine learning models, artificial intelligence systems, and causal econometric analyses, and engineering systems to scale these solutions. You will coordinate cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to successfully deliver these high-impact measurement programs. This involves developing detailed plans, schedules, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies. You will identify dependencies and enable seamless collaboration between the teams building the AI/ML models, defining product requirements, providing data-driven insights, and driving business adoption. You will also be responsible for building optimal processes by collaborating with leadership team members to execute strategic initiatives across marketing campaign management and workflow automation. Overall, your expertise will drive strategic alignment, process efficiency, and successful project outcomes within our organization.

To be successful in this role, you need to be analytical and technical enough to know the science+engineering systems to independently make informed decisions in discussions with customers (and not overly rely on the team in each discussion). Key job responsibilities

• Collaborate with partner teams and stakeholders to translate strategic initiatives into actionable plans.

• Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans for scientific programs leveraging AI, ML, and econometrics

• Design, optimize, and implement operational processes aligned with strategic objectives.

• Evaluate and enhance existing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with strategic initiatives.

• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish reporting mechanisms via QBRs/MBRs

• Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders for successful program outcomes.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, BI, science) for project execution.

• Act as a facilitator/trainer to enable adoption of team's tools and processes.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

• 3+ years of software development experience

• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
