Top Required Skills

  • Experience with these certs: IEC/EU 62368, FCC safety – NRTL and/or EU Safety – CB

  • Safety project management experience – ideally 3-5 years in a corporate environment.

  • Hardware compliance knowledge including safety, EMC, environmental.

  • (experience with any of the following a huge plus: worldwide EMC/RF/Safety/Environmental regulatory certificates for consumer devices and datacenter products)

Job Description

  • This team has an immediate opening for a Technical Program Manager (Safety Project Management Experience).

  • This role will help drive implementation of compliance-focused hardware certification programs.

  • This position will support the client's product compliance function covering hundreds of internal use data center and customer-focused hardware products.

  • The program will encompass global certifications for product safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), radio frequency (RF), energy efficiency, and restricted substances.

  • The Technical Program Manager will engage the client's HW Engineering, suppliers/manufacturers, track global certification status of products, collect, validate, and archive compliance documentation.

  • Direct interface will be with compliance engineering team, hardware development and business teams, supply chain and logistics, equipment suppliers, third party test labs and certification agencies, and regulatory bodies.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Manage NPI (New Product Introduction) product compliance activities for assigned programs.

  • Assist NPI TPMs in solving challenges with data quality and verification.

  • Interface with client HW Engineering, Product Compliance Engineering, Legal, Trade and other key cross-functional stakeholders during all phases of compliance project management.

  • Interface with manufacturing partners in the US and oversees during the NPI (New Product Introduction) process to manage execution activity of compliance projects.

  • Collect, validate, and store evidence of compliance at the product level across a large portfolio of hardware products.

  • Manage relationships with test labs and certification agencies, including contracting and budget.
