Our Energy and Sustainability division is currently seeking a Sustainability and Climate Project Manager to provide project management and technical expertise on public and private sector projects across the Pacific Northwest and the greater United States. This position will be based out of our Seattle, WA office.

The Sustainability and Climate PM will lead and support energy, sustainability, and climate projects across a range of clients and sectors, including public agencies, cities, and corporate contracts, in the Pacific Northwest and nationwide. The Sustainability and Climate PM is a client-facing position, and the individual in this role should be able to work independently and as part of a team to deliver client projects and services. The individual is also expected to be able to communicate effectively and coordinate with internal team members and clients on the progress and issue of tasks and deliverables. This individual is expected to be able to anticipate project opportunities and risks as they emerge, and identify pre-emptive or proactive solutions to ensure that our team continues to deliver high-quality services and deliverables to our clients.

Responsibilities:

Manage and support energy, sustainability, and climate projects for public and private sector clients

Work with public- and private-sector clients to develop actionable strategic sustainability and climate plans

Oversee the work of project teams and sub-consultants to ensure successful project execution and delivery of services

Interface directly with clients, including agency owners, engineers, architects, contractors, and other professional services consultants

Attend client meetings, track and drive action items, manage schedule and budget across multiple projects

Provide subject matter and technical expertise to clients on sustainability, climate change, and other environmental issues in addition to guidance on program and project implementation. Subject matter may include, but not be limited to, climate mitigation, climate adaptation and resilience, energy conservation and efficiency, water conservation, solid waste management, etc.

Work with clients to assess existing sustainability and environmental programs and identify areas of opportunity and innovation

Identify or develop building-, campus-, and/or organization-scale sustainability and climate solutions for public and private sector clients

Lead or support community and stakeholder engagement by designing and facilitating workshops, focus groups, small-group or individual interviews, and other planning sessions for strategic planning projects or program implementation
