Description

We are actively seeking a Staff Accountant to join our nonprofit client in Seattle, Washington. This role involves a variety of accounting duties, primarily focusing on bank reconciliation tasks. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct bank reconciliations thoroughly and accurately to ensure financial integrity

• Assist with General Ledger (GL) accounting tasks as necessary

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Contribute to the monthly close process by preparing and posting journal entries

• Utilize accounting NetSuite software proficiently

• Implement and maintain reliable financial records for the company

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with bank reconciliations is essential

• Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Must be able to handle Month End Close

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
