Amazon Sr Product Manager - Tech, Compliance Shared Services in Seattle, Washington
Description
Our mission is to build best-in-class, product-based compliance solutions harnessing the power of state-of-the-art multilingual, multimodal, LLMs, and generative AI to improve productivity and elevate user experiences. We develop these solutions as foundational multi-use ML services that eliminate compliance friction for our partners, reduce operational costs, and ensure a great buyer experience, while enabling extensions beyond compliance to non-compliance use cases Amazon wide.
As a Senior Product Manager - Tech, you will drive business opportunity expansion and product strategy across compliance and the development of ML primitives that enable automation and improved experiences across Amazon use cases. You will manage and be responsible for understanding a variety of customer needs and technology systems, and propose science and technology strategy and roadmaps that enable our best-in-class ML algorithms and solutions to be easily adopted and integrated into customer technology stacks. You will also develop key win-win partnerships with our technology partners, defining and delivering long-term strategic scientific and technical goals, and have a significant bottom-line impact on our business and competitive position.
You will be part of a larger engineering and science team that is distributed across three worldwide locations and your product portfolio will be used within and outside of Amazon by our Associates, Selling Partners, Government Regulator Agencies, and various other partners in our Supply Chains. You will be working closely with senior executives to develop business targets and resource requirements, influence our long-term technical and business strategy, present key narratives to senior leadership teams across Amazon, help us hire and develop a talented team of Product Managers, and ultimately enable us to deliver innovative new solutions rapidly.

Key job responsibilities
Lead Product Definition – Own and drive the customer working backwards strategy, tenets, long-term goals and working backwards documents (press release, FAQ) including customer and market feedback, competitive analysis and business metrics to inform direction.
Define Product Vision – Including all aspects to future roadmap, investment, innovation and experimentation.
Execution of Product Planning and Development – Including customer goals and business requirements for product release, ensuring implementation is aligned with product goals and requirements, and ownership of product positioning.
Lead Product Launch – Own the Go To Market plan to deliver results that ensure the customer and business goals are met in operational launch plans.
Lead Operations – Including monitoring and response to customer feedback, continuous improvement and business growth
Lead interaction with Technical Team – Including helping the technical team make tradeoffs based on customer requirements, QA/testing of the product.
Lead and mentor technical product managers
Influence senior leaderhip across Amazon and communicate our vision, strategy, goals, status, and customer impact
A day in the life
7:00 am - Meet with science and tech leaders in Romania to review roadmap and hotly debated topics impacting goal delivery.
8:00 am - Review key business metrics for product portfolio with our VP and business directors of our users.
9:00 am - Meet with key external technical partners, to discuss impact of blockers to our science team that we them to prioritize.
9:30 am - Organize a response to an escalation from one of our customers. Requested a few pieces of information from tech and science teams.
10:00 am - Prepare for a demo next week with a potential customer who has a need for media automation that our solutions can extend to.
11:00 am - Backlog grooming with science and tech managers.
12:00 pm - Lunch with team
1:00 pm - Review responses from team and craft a document to respond to the escalation. Catch-up on email, follow-up and schedule meetings / PRFAQ reviews with prospective customers.
2:00 pm - Work on narrative to present a key product to our SVP next week.
4:00 pm - Review and edit QBR updates from team.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Experience managing technical products or online services
Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
