Description

We are inviting applications for the role of a Sr. Accountant in the non-profit sector, located in Seattle, Washington. This role involves a range of accounting duties and offers an exciting opportunity for candidates with skills in general accounting, fund accounting, financial reporting, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Manage fund accounting specific to the non-profit industry, maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations

• Prepare and present financial reports, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis

• Handle general ledger entries, reconciliations, cash flow management and ensure timely month and year-end closings

• Monitor and manage investment accounts and endowment funds, ensuring optimal utilization

• Collaborate with internal teams to carry out annual external audits and maintain strong internal controls

• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and journal entries

• Conduct KPI reporting to inform strategic decision-making.

The salary range for this position is $72,000 to $82,000.

Requirements • Proficient in General Accounting practices and principles

• Expertise in Fund Accounting within the Non-Profit sector

• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Reports

• Experience in maintaining and managing General Ledgers

• Proficient in Month End Close and Year End Closings procedures

• Experience in Cash Flow Management

• Ability to perform Account Reconciliation effectively

• Proficient in preparing and adjusting Journal Entries

• Experience in KPI Reporting

• Knowledge of managing Investment Accounts and Endowment Funds

• Experience in carrying out Annual External Audits

• Strong understanding and application of Internal Control processes
