Amazon Sr. Financial Analyst, Devices Finance in Seattle, Washington
Description
Do you want to create and deliver innovative products for millions of customers around the world? Amazon is seeking a highly analytical and action-oriented Sr. Finance Analyst to partner with our Search and Silk leadership team in supporting our Tablet product line. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving our financial discipline, and influencing strategic decisions to enhance the performance of our Tablet business.
Key job responsibilities
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop, manage, and refine financial models to support the Search business’s budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning processes.
• Business Partnering: Collaborate with product management, engineering, sales, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights, evaluate business initiatives, and assess the financial impact.
• Reporting & Metrics: Create and maintain detailed financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to monitor the financial health of the Search business. Analyze key performance indicators and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Revenue Analysis: Track and evaluate revenue trends within the Search business, including pricing, volume, and market share analysis, and provide recommendations to maximize profitability.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Support the Search team with ad hoc financial analysis, including scenario planning, and risk assessment for strategic initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance peers and other departments across Devices to ensure alignment on financial goals and processes, and to contribute to broader financial strategy initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
