This role is part of Enterprise Program Management (EPM), where we provide technical standards, tools, processes, training, and subject matter expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. EPM allows all Blue Origin business units to benefit from commonly used capabilities, hardware, and software and assists business units in identifying, selecting, and training engineers from both inside and outside the organization. As part of a small passionate and accomplished team, you will participate in the development and implementation of Configuration and Data Management systems for Blue Origin. We are seeking an experienced Sr. Configuration & Development Engineer to oversee the management of data configuration and integration processes between Windchill, Costpoint, Redshift/Redash, and Jules. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in data management, configuration control, and system integration, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of data across multiple platforms and applications. This role will play a critical role in driving data governance, developing strategies for data integration, and implementing best practices to support the organization's data-centric initiatives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the design, development, and implementation of data configuration and integration strategies to ensure seamless data exchange and alignment among various systems and platforms. Oversee the Standard Part Creation Workflow, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Standard Part data across multiple databases and applications. Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to optimize data quality, security, and compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data integration needs, define requirements, and drive the implementation of scalable data solutions. Manage the configuration control process, including versioning, change management, and maintenance of data models and mappings. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data configuration and integration staff, promoting professional development and best practices. Evaluate and recommend data management technologies, tools, and methodologies to support the organization's business objectives and future growth. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand data requirements and support the integration of new systems or applications. Continuously monitor and analyze data quality metrics and performance indicators, and initiate corrective actions as needed. Own and host the existing training courses on Standard Part Creation and Develop new ones for all standard part types. Train and keep a roster of M&P Reviewers who can support all BUs in the process of review of complex raw materials to ensure compliance with Program M&P Plans, Blue Origin Command Media, and Best Practices Lead Standard Part data enhancement projects to support Demand Planning, Inventory Management, & Part Aggregation/Consolidation Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
