The opportunity

• Undertake numerical analyses using first-principles methods to solve our clients’ most difficult challenges   

• Perform and report linear and non-linear, static and dynamic analysis in either fluid dynamics or structures. Those could include: wind and climate modeling, water flows, seismic and geotech modeling or vibration analyses.   

• Collaborate with other structural engineers, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and risk consultants on innovative buildings and infrastructure projects   

• Work on defined tasks under the close supervision of a senior engineer   

• Analysis, design, and communication of results to clients both internal and external to Arup

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Architectural engineering, or similar related field   

• Fundamental knowledge of structural mechanics, fluid mechanics, as appropriate   

• Understanding of computer programming and statistics   

Preferred:  

• Cover letter included in application submission  

• Experience with FEA and/or CFD software 

• Experience in web or app development   

• Coursework in data science

Los Angeles Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Los Angeles is $23.50 to $35 per hour. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. San Francisco Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in San Francisco is $26 to $37 per hour. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Oakland Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Oakland is $26 to $37 per hour. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Seattle Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Seattle is $23.50 to $35 per hour.
