Software Engineer, Electronic Arts, Inc., Seattle, WA. Design underlying database schema, interface, and plan for capacity. Implement high quality code with comprehensive unit testing. Work with program managers to understand business requirements and translate those into technical designs which are reviewed and signed off by the stack holder. Lead technical design and implementation of features. Fix bugs raised from stabilization, integration, and production. Work on migrating legacy systems to the new platform. Troubleshoot issues raised from production and resolve customer problems. Evaluate and adopt technologies which improve the team efficiency and platform capabilities. Code review peer developer's code and provide constructive feedback to ensure consistency and quality of code. Telecommuting permitted. (E2-235796)

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range From $142,900 to $230,000/yr.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or in a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in an engineering-related occupation.

Position requires one (1) year of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Java and Algorithms;
  • Data Structure and Operation System;
  • SQL/Oracle experience with large distributed database design;
  • Building and running large scale distributed online services;
  • Commercial software development experience in Commerce system; and,
  • Designing and building innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment.
