We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Reservations Logistics team. The Reserve Logistics team is part of the Reservations team, which is responsible for building and maintaining the Uber Reserve" product, Uber's reliable advanced booking solution. Uber Reserve is one of the fastest growing mobility products at Uber and we need your help to scale it to greater heights. The logistics team works on core Uber technologies like Pricing, Matching, Fulfillment etc , all key areas to manage supply/demand and optimize our algorithms leveraging state of the art Machine learning infrastructure.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that drive innovation in our products and services.

What You'll Do

Build backend systems and features spanning across some of Uber's core services like Matching, Pricing, Fares, Fulfillment. Produce high quality design and execute on them to light up features to grow the Uber Reserve Product . Work closely with Science and PM teams to ideate/experiment and evaluate features for millions of Uber Reserve riders and drivers. Maintain a high bar for eng quality by participating and driving engineering excellence challenges to maintain stability of eng systems.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field OR 1-year full-time Software Engineering work experience, WHICH INCLUDES 1-year total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Programming language (e.g. C, C++, Java, Python, or Go)

• Note the 1-year total of specialized software engineering experience may have been gained through education and full-time work experience, additional training, coursework, research, or similar (OR some combination of these). The year of specialized experience is not necessarily in addition to the years of Education & full-time work experience indicated.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience on applied Machine learning is a plus

• Previous experience working on large scale problems is a plus

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$158,000 per year - USD$175,500 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
