Why is the Shipping and Receiving Technician role important to us?
Quickparts is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Technician to ensure that our manufactured parts are processed, inspected, packaged, and shipped accurately and on time.
The Shipping and Receiving Technician will be responsible for preparing and handling outgoing shipments, inspecting and packaging parts, and maintaining organized work areas. This role is vital to upholding our quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate and prompt shipment documentation, communication, and reporting. The right candidate will also maintain shipping supplies, manage associated paperwork, and collaborate with management to address any shipment-related issues.
In this role, you will:
- Box parts and prepare packages for shipment per instructions and established procedures
- Complete the daily shipping report and applicable shipping-related documentation
- Use computer software to ship, track, check, and route orders accurately
- Answer emails and questions regarding shipments and provide regular updates to management
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on parts prior to packaging
- Order and maintain shipping-related supplies as needed
Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient environment
You might be a good fit if (you have/are):
- 1+ year of related experience in shipping, receiving, or fulfillment operations
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with MS Office, UPS, and FedEx shipping programs
- Ability to handle objects up to 50 pounds and maintain attention to detail
- Familiarity with basic measuring tools and forklift operation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
