GHD Inc. Senior Technical Lead in Seattle, Washington

Job Description GHD has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Environmental Geologist located in Portland, OR. This position works with our Environmental Contamination, Assessment, and Remediation (CAR) business group delivery projects across the West Region. The team supports brownfield redevelopment projects, provides environmental services to both public and private sector clients throughout Southern California, assessing environmental impacts, completing risk assessments, and mitigating long term environmental risks through the development and monitoring of remedial systems and risk management measures. Responsibilities will be but are not limited to: * Supporting strategic pursuits, including growth in both the Private and Public Sectors * Provide Senior Technical Leadership in project delivery with emerging contaminants, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) * Contribute to business planning to identify opportunities to grow GHD's market share * Conducting environmental monitoring and environmental site assessments * Establishing, growing, and maintaining client relationships * Managing projects including budgets, project teams and timelines * Preparing and reviewing technical environmental reports * Mentor junior team members The Ideal candidate would have the following skills: * Working knowledge of methods and procedures for site characterization, hydrogeological analysis, and remediation of contaminants in soil, soil vapor, indoor air, and groundwater * Familiarity and experience with environmental rules for California Low Threat UST Case Closure Policy is a plus. Experience in related service areas will also be considered * Self-starter, flexible team player, willing/able to work on a wide variety of tasks * Strong technical writing and verbal presentation skills * Attention to detail and strong organizational skills * Strong project and client management skills * Strong problem solving abilities and aptitude * Interest in continuing professional development * Knowledge of the local West Coast market is preferred * Willingness to travel, including overnight, to project sites on the West Coast * 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification is preferred Requirements: * B.S. degree or higher in geology/hydrogeology, environmental science, engineering, or related field. * 10 years of relevant, dynamic experience including a mix of field, data evaluation and interpretation, and technical report writing Benefits: * 401K - Employees are eligible to participate on the first day of the month following 3 months of service * Paid time off - Our PTO benefit is designed to provide eligible employees with a period of rest and relaxation, sick, and personal time throughout the year.
