Nordstrom Senior Program Manager - Supply Chain Support Operations in Seattle, Washington

Nordstrom has an opportunity available for a highly motivated, customer obsessed, and results-oriented Senior Program Manager to be a part of the Nordstrom Supply Chain on our Operations Support Program Management team.

The Operations Support PMO team plays a critical role within Supply Chain by focusing on driving comprehensive program management to enable cross functional teams to unlock capabilities and drive value to our Supply Chain and JWN.

This role is focused on:

  • Enterprise initiatives that are highly cross-functional with our Merchant, Inventory Positioning, Planning & Forecasting, Supplier Compliance, Transportation and ICQA teams

  • Program examples: Process optimization of VAS services in our DCs, new program launches that support key merchandising & inventory initiatives and improvements to speed,

  • Orchestrating successful project delivery across multidisciplinary teams supporting key priorities of Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack

  • Aligning with strategic Supply Chain Operations (SCO) goals

  • Managing a broad range of projects, resources, and key stakeholders.

    This role is multifaceted, demanding the ability to shift seamlessly from strategic planning to tactical execution. Collaboration is at the heart of this position, requiring effective partnership across various levels and teams (Merchandising, Inventory Deployment, Store Ops, Field Ops, Data Science, Technology, and Digital Ops) to bring Nordstrom closer to the customer. Program managers must expect change and be adaptable to shifting priorities when needed. Exceptional stakeholder management skills and a proven ability to deliver results across multiple VP-led organizations and regions are essential for success in this role.

    A Day in the Life…

  • Strategic Program Management: Develop comprehensive program tracking to deliver program objectives, maintain program discipline and c reate program updates across multiple leadership levels. Programs will deliver value to Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack, ensuring alignment with strategic Supply Chain Operations (SCO) goals.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and cost-efficient delivery of products. Regularly update senior management on progress and critical performance metrics.

  • Operational Collaboration: Attend cross-functional team meetings to tackle current operational issues and devise actionable strategies. This involves close collaboration with teams from merchandising, sales, finance, and supply/capacity planning to ensure integrated and coherent operations.

  • Performance Analysis and Improvement: Regularly analyze supply chain performance metrics and KPIs to pinpoint improvement opportunities. Work alongside data science and analytics partners to develop reporting and necessary data to measure success of programs and capabilities.

  • Innovation and Industry Alignment: Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in supply chain management and retail operations . to foster innovation and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Cross-functional Integration and KPI Management: Inform the development, implementation, and monitoring of cross-functional KPIs to ensure effective execution and performance of programs.

  • Change Management: Drive and sustain organizational change through effective stakeholder management, and by overseeing the planning processes and meetings necessary to achieve strategic objectives.

    You own this if you...

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain operations, Business, Merchandising or equivalent work-related experience in supply chain operations, retail operations, inventory management or related discipline

  • 8+ years of experience in one of the following: program management / retail / e-commerce / transportation

  • Ideally certified in project management disciplines (Project Management Professional – PMP) or demonstrated like experiences with outcomes on program governance, success measures and program management skills in operations, retail operations or technology projects

  • Experience working directly with data science, analytics teams, and tech teams

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and strong business acumen with the ability to interact with and influence leaders at all levels

  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and change management skills

  • Proven ability to excel and lead by example in a fast paced and continuously evolving environment.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: 90,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
