Amazon Senior Product Manager-Tech, Fire TV, FireTV in Seattle, Washington

Do you want to shape the future of streaming TVs? We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to define and scale product solutions for the next generation of Smart TVs. In this role on the Fire TV 3P Partner Products team, you will work with the world’s top device makers to bring our content-forward, intuitive, and delightful Fire TV experience on Smart TVs. Our team has consistently delivered 4.5+ star rated products and are embarking on a journey to further expand our business globally.

You will be responsible for developing competitive product solutions, engaging with leading brands to adopt Fire TV, and driving the end-to-end delivery of high-quality products. If you love working on operating systems, streaming TV software, or building highly-rated consumer devices, this is the role for you.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop competitive product solutions and features with our device partners

  • Engage with top brands to successfully adopt and integrate Fire TV experiences

  • Craft detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business development leaders to prioritize and launch products

A day in the life

While each day may differ, you will continuously learn, innovate, and grow as a product leader. Depending on the day, you will be defining a product vision, writing working-backwards documents, partnering with engineering to determine the best way to delight customers, or addressing customer feedback. You will work with our internal partners (e.g., engineering, business development) to make product decisions, and with our external partners (hardware makers, brands) to launch high-quality products and track customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

  • Experience with Smart TVs, Android-based devices, consumer devices, or streaming media

  • Technical knowledge of Smart TV features and specifications, including but not limited to WiFi, Bluetooth, streaming technologies, and audio/video codecs

  • Experience with technical requirements for multimedia technologies (Netflix, Dolby, DTS, HDMI) and broadcast standards (ATSC, DVB, ISDB-T, etc.)

  • Experience interfacing with external hardware partners (SoC vendors, original design manufacturers) to drive business and technical discussions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
