Oracle Senior Principal Product Manager in Seattle, Washington

Job Description

As a Senior Principal Product Manager within OCI’s Studio in the Cloud business, you will play a key role in identifying, defining, and delivering the cloud services and product offerings that will enable animation, film, and game development studios to migrate their entire production pipeline to the cloud. Our charter is delivery of a new set of best-in-class cloud services targeted specifically at enterprise customers in the digital media production industry. Product areas include virtual animation workstation service, digital asset management, high performance storage, render farm as a service, license management, and production pipeline management services. This is an opportunity to build the strategy and product roadmap for a competitive offering from the ground up and extend the reach of OCI to green field opportunities in the media and entertainment industry. You will work with customers and OCI engineering leaders to define differentiated value propositions for new services, write clear functional requirements, and drive the product development lifecycle across multiple cloud services. Prior experience and deep domain knowledge in the media production pipeline infrastructure services used in film, animation and game development studios is necessary.

Responsibilities

  1. Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap across multiple cloud service offerings.

  2. Write product strategy as an input to product design; Conduct relevant market research, analyze industry trends, and have a deep understanding of the competitive landscape.

  3. Work directly with key customers to understand their requirements and business needs; Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to understand evolving needs.

  4. Represent product roadmap and strategy to customers and collaborators; Champion opportunities for OCI to build differentiated services and features.

  5. Write well-understood and clear functional requirements; White papers and strategy document writing will be regular part of the role, to keep senior leadership and executives in-step with organizational vision and delivery against that vision.

  6. Manage technical tradeoffs, balancing customer experience, time to market, functional completeness, and costs.

  7. Drive the product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to requirements and quality standards in collaboration with partner service organizations.

  8. Collaborate with engineering teams to oversee the development process, providing guidance and support as needed.

  9. Monitor and analyze product performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. MBA is a plus.

  2. Proven experience (10+ years) in product management in digital media production.

  3. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a track record of successful product launches.

  4. Strong technical understanding of cloud infrastructure and/or distributed enterprise systems architecture.

  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  6. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $114,500 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
