Boeing Global Services (BGS) seeks a Senior Flight Simulator Hardware Configuration Engineer to join the Training & Simulation Digital Services (T&SDS) Engineering team. This position will be responsible for Simulator Flight Deck Hardware Kit and Cabin and Door Trainer Package definition and maintenance for multiple airplane models.

The position is based in the Seattle area with hybrid work options available.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Leads the research, design and development of flight simulator package requirements.

  • Provides engineering support for the delivery and lifecycle support of simulator packages.

  • Defines product design requirements to meet approval standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Leads execution of advanced verification and validation activities to ensure data quality and integrity.

  • Provides consultation to resolve flight simulator operations, service and regulatory qualification issues.

  • Develops new and revised processes in support of customer requirements and changes in company guidelines.

  • Define and maintain flight deck part lists for the parts that are provided in the Boeing Simulator Package (BSP) Hardware Kit.

  • Define and maintain Cabin and Door Training Packages.

  • Support customer hardware configuration inquiries.

  • Track and assess flight deck updates and hardware part roll impacts on Hardware Kits.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Simulator Hardware Kit Configuration, defining and maintaining processes and mentoring, as needed.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Cabin and Door Training Packages defining and maintaining processes and documenting package requirements.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) :

  • Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study in an engineering related discipline

  • 5+ years of experience with airplane flight deck and/or deck design.

  • Experience working with engineering drawings. REDARS, IVT.

  • Experience using CATIA.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Senior (Level 4): $104,550 - $141,450
