AWS Finance seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support AWS Database Services. This position is responsible drive thoughtful planning, pricing analysis, decision support, and controllership for future investment. The individual will work closely with the executive team, product management and engineering to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership in the Database businesses.

Key job responsibilities
Build out and enhance P&L models for new and existing services, develop business insights and key metric dashboards, and lead ad hoc analyses
Create, maintain and improve profitability and management reporting
Drive the financial planning/budgeting process
Analyze new business ideas, make analytical judgments, and provide data intensive analyses to drive meaningful change
Drive pricing decisions and strategic decision supports
Identify and influence cost saving opportunities and drive execution with the business team
Compile and review financial results and operational plans and communicate results to company leaders
Lead key analytical projects that assist and influence the business
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
3+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
4+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
