Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Business Operations Specialist supporting the Vertical Capability Leader within the Commercial Modifications, Engineering, and Specialty Products (CMESP) organization. This position will be in Seattle, WA.

In this position, you will lead the development and execution of the management system, which includes overall strategy, processes, communications, operating rhythm, metrics, quality improvements, integration, compliance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Operationalizes, implements and integrates program business requirements

  • Guides and facilitates the development and integration of plans, strategies and processes to meet business goals

  • Coordinates and clarifies analysis with business partners to validate results and determine scope to meet long range business goals

  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external organizations for large scale complex plans to fulfill the broad level strategies and ensure organizational alignment

  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case

  • Presents plans to executive leadership to gain approval and provides implementation direction once approved

  • Establishes overall management system construct by utilizing the Program Management Best Practices

  • Utilizes the management systems, processes, and data analytics to provide insights on performance to committed plans

  • Supports Leader in various executive and team meetings (internal/external) by ensuring artifacts and agenda required are prepared/approved, meetings are running efficiently, and actions are tracked to completion

  • Utilizes data analytics to forecast performance to committed plans and consults with leaders on strategic opportunities

  • Ensures follow up action for issue resolution

  • Represents executive management to internal and external business interests in areas such as communicating business policy, strategy and direction

  • Assists in task management and provides expert business advice to enable a more efficient use of executive resources

  • Ability to define the project, design/plan the project, manage the project team, and overall project execution

  • Ability to control and deliver project deliverables and optimize the contribution of the people involved

  • Develops and uses collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals and is embedded into the business

  • Develops business acumen and knowledge of policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization

  • Ability to understand the big picture and the interrelationships of and impacts to all positions and activities in the system

  • Provides coaching and guidance to less experienced personnel

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite 3-5 days a week at the Seattle, WA site. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher

  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership

  • Experience with developing and delivering presentations to senior and executive leadership, using Smart Brevity wherever needed

  • Experience in interpreting data and presenting analysis and recommendations to leadership

  • Experience developing and reporting performance metrics

  • Highly flexible, adaptable, and resilient

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, problem solving, and analytical skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • 10+ years experience working in a cross functional environment

  • 10+ years experience in leading projects using Program/Project Management and Agile accepted standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, SAFe, and ISO standards)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly intuitive and proactive with strong decision-making skills

  • Identifies, understands and anticipates business needs

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high visibility, ambiguous and everchanging environment

Typical Education & Experience :

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor’s) and typically 18 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master’s and typically 13 or more years’ related work experience.)

Summary pay range experienced level: 141,950 – 192,050
