As the SBA Portfolio Coordinator, you will be involved on both the front and back end of the SBA portfolio, from individual loans through general maintenance. On the front end, you will work with the Business Development Officers to obtain information and assist in shepherding the loans through approval. With respect to the back end, assist the Portfolio Manager in establishing notification systems to ensure ongoing file requirements are met, including financial statement collection, insurance tracking, term loan reviews and other similar tasks and requirements. Reviews SBA and other external data to track and monitor overall portfolio health. In this role you will have the opportunity to: Assist the Business Development Officers in collecting any additional documentation necessary, including any outstanding financials once a new SBA loan request has been submitted for credit approval. Provide technical or advisory assistance to Business Development Officers as requested. Assist the SBA Portfolio Manager with analyzing and investigating credit and financial information on existing customers. Assist the SBA Portfolio Manager with tracking financial information of new, renewed, and existing loans. Monitor loan terms for covenant compliance on existing loans. Regularly establish, review, and update new and existing loan files. Maintain loan monitoring system. Assist the SBA Portfolio Manager (in conjunction with the Business Development Officer) of managing portfolio priorities, including reporting issues, maturities, delinquencies, and loan performance, including the appropriateness of ongoing risk ratings. Responsible for complying with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations. Ensure adherence to company and credit policies, auditing procedures, and department goals and standards. Ensures compliance of the Bank's credit policies. Education & Certifications Bachelor's Degree: Related field required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) Experience 4 or more years of lending, portfolio management, Commercial and/or Commercial Real Estate experience required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Analytical skills and working knowledge of financial accounting with ability to spread and analyze financial statements, cash flows, and tax returns for companies and individuals with moderate to complex structures to determine financial support feasibility for credit requests. Knowledge of company formation structures with ability to identify borrowing and guaranty structures. Basic understanding of portfolio management priorities, including reporting issues, concentrations, maturities, delinquencies, and loan performance (including construction progress through absorption and lease-up execution, covenant compliance, and the appropriateness of ongoing risk ratings). Possess excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively manage customer relationship and maintenance issues in the absence of Commercial Bankers.
