Robert Half Sales Associate in Seattle, Washington

Description We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This role will provide you with the opportunity to enhance your skills in customer service, sales, and merchandising in a high-volume, customer-facing environment. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional service to exceed customer expectations

• Highlight relevant offers and merchandise to support customer purchases

• Maintain open and effective communication with customers to understand their needs

• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently

• Attend training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills related to retail and cash handling duties

• Adhere to the dress code by wearing provided uniform and maintaining a professional appearance

• Assist in arranging merchandise and maintaining cleanliness of the sales area

• Support the team in achieving sales targets through effective customer service and selling techniques

• Adapt to varying work schedules as per business needs

• Ensure safety protocols are followed, including wearing provided face masks if needed. Requirements • Proficiency in customer service and sales is necessary.

• Previous experience in a retail environment is advantageous.

• Must have the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

• Familiarity with merchandising practices is desirable.

• Must be capable of managing schedules effectively.

• Ability to provide quality training to new hires.

• Good communication skills are essential for this role.

• Knowledge of hiring processes will be beneficial.

• Should be comfortable with providing workstation support.

• Must have a pleasant phone presence for handling customer queries.

• Experience with Peachtree Accounting Software is a plus.

• Skills in selling and an understanding of retail dynamics are required.

• Knowledge or experience in theatre and video can be beneficial.

• Familiarity with R Code is advantageous.

• Ability to provide insightful suggestions to improve sales and customer service.

• Must be available to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, higher education is a plus.

• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
