Responsibilities

We are offering relocation bonus for qualified candidates. Provides supervision for daily operations of the Cardiovascular Ambulatory nursing team, including cardiac testing, heart failure, triage, cardiothoracic and vacular surgery specialities. The main campus clinic is located in downtown Seattle. However, responsibility will include the entire cardiovascular service line across multiple locations. Ensures optimal daily patient flow and allocation of resources to meet demand for services with available staff. Addresses patient care or service problems as necessary.

Essential functions:

Ensures smooth flow of outpatient clinic by directing the work of clinic staff. Develops, modifies, implements, and evaluates operational processes for the section. Assigns and changes priorities within the work unit to assure exceptional customer service. Acts as a resource to staff, providers, and other personnel for all daily operational needs. Supports the elevation of the RN role to the top of scope of practice, collaborate with other leadership teams, patient scheduling process, assessing patient flow. This position will allow a great opportunity to manage projects/nursing policy/protocols.

Manages service schedules to enhance productivity and staff, exam room and/or equipment utilization. Handles day-to-day patient satisfaction concerns. Works as a registered nurse.

Recruits, hires, trains, disciplines and supervises staff including completion of performance evaluations and competency assessments. Maintains and updates staff procedure manuals, staff training programs and quality assurance programs.

Assures cost-effective daily operations and allocation of clinic to optimize available staff with demand for service.

Participates in improvement projects focused on achievement of annual goals and lean initiatives; ensures implementation of and adherence to improvement changes.

Ensures compliance with state, federal and regulatory agency requirements for facilities, care and staff.

Qualifications

This position requires current licensure as a registered nurse plus one years' increasingly responsible health care operations experience.

Experience with designing and leading change in a dynamic team environment.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize the demands of daily operations and organize resources required. Also requires demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, active listening skills and conflict mediation ability. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change and build effective teams also required.

Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related area preferred.

Pay Range

$44.63 - $67.40 /hour
