UW Medical Center-Montlake – has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse for our Pre-Anesthesia Clinic .

WORK SCHEDULE

• Full time Day Shifts DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Our nurses provide pre-anesthetic assessment and teaching to 40-60 patients/day either in clinic or by phone. Nurses receive specialty training to perform a complete pre-anesthesia evaluation, in addition to providing pre-op teaching. POSITION HIGHLINGTS

• Assessment and nursing diagnosis of patients

• Care planning

• Patient teaching

• Discharge and transfer planning

• Admission, discharge and transfer processes REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years current med-surg or ICU experience
