UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department.

ABOUT OUR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

• We are a 22-bed Level IV Trauma Center

• We consistently hold 1:4 nurse to patient ratios

• We provide specialized treatment for cardiac, trauma, and stroke patients

• We have been recognized for providing one of the fastest times to treatment for cardiac patients in the Seattle region

• Many of our RNs are Daisy Award WinnersOur RNs work in close partnership with physicians, phlebotomists, and medical assistants. Our Emergency Department is fast-paced and a great match for RNs interested in supporting a diverse population from our local and regional communities. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive, collaborate environment where everyone’s contributions are recognized. WORK SCHEDULE

• Per diem schedule / variable hours per week

• Can work day shifts, mid shifts, and night shifts PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assesses and triages patients upon arrival

• Administers medications and fluids

• Monitors heart rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs

• Stabilizes patients with life-threatening injuries and illnesses

• Responds quickly when emergent issues arise

• Works alongside emergency department physicians, cardiac care professionals, social workers, and paramedics

• Provides personalized patient care with compassion, dignity, and respect REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 year of recent RN work experience in an Emergency Department

• Active ACLS

• Active BLS
