Our Owatonna, MN location is part of our Dry Beverage Division specializes in agglomeration and/or coating of nutraceuticals and functional food ingredients in some of your favorite dietary supplements and drinks! The site has approximately 50 employees that contribute to our involvement in product formulations, ingredient processing and particle coating solutions within the food and beverage and nutraceutical ingredient industries. What You'll Do:
The Production Associate in the Sanitation position is responsible for completing tasks from the Master Sanitation Program. They support Production Supervisor with food grade sanitation needs.
The primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Cleaning duties as set out on the master sanitation schedule for floors, drains, walls perimeters in the plant and warehouse meeting company, customer and government standards
Daily cleaning: i.e. tanks, pipes and equipment, (some CIP and COP) and filling room floor.
Safe handling and documentation of chemicals used.
Careful use of water so equipment is not damaged
Removal and emptying of production garbage and debris
Manual and/or electrical pallet jacks
Maintain all sanitation documents in accordance with plant quality and safety requirements.
Additional duties would involve supporting Production Supervisor in all industrial sanitation needs. This position reports to the Sanitation Supervisor. In the absence of the Industrial Sanitation employee, another Industrial Sanitation employee will serve as backup.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Previous experience in food-grademanufacturingsanitation, knowledge of GMPs, CIP and HACCP ideal.
Able to work independently and/or with others.
Good organizational and mathematical skills
Knowledge of food manufacturing sanitation requirements
Ability and willingness to follow, plant Quality, Safety and Security policies and guidelines
Able to effectively communicate with co-workers and plant management
Have a good mechanical aptitude
Must have experience or willingness to learn the duties listed in the job description.
Able to work flexible hours and overtime as required
