The Amazon Fresh Private Brands team is looking for an entrepreneurial, experienced, and organized PM to help us build, scale, and execute complex and multi-disciplinary projects. The Product Operations team is a core team within the Amazon Fresh Private Brands organization that is responsible for bridging cross-functional teams and driving strategic programs. We are also responsible for the organization’s technology tools and end-to-end product development processes. We utilize project management as a core discipline to build and drive scalable processes and programs to boost the growth of Amazon Grocery. This position will focus on developing and managing the project timelines from new product concept to production manufacturing and scale up, through to the launch of the product. You will work across internal cross functional stakeholders to create and manage project timelines to successful execution of launch. To succeed in role, you must be a thoughtful builder with strong business acumen, excellent organizational skills, acute analytical skills, and the demonstrated ability to use creative thinking to solve complex problems. The role requires the candidate to be highly analytical and comfortable setting a North Star vision for new initiatives. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced start up environment. It is also essential that the candidate possess strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to influence partner teams.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Work closely with members of the Amazon Fresh Private Brands team including Product Development, Product Management, Marketing, and others drive end-to-end launch of new food products and strategic initiatives.

  2. Preparing project schedules and defining the milestones; Track and report progress, identify and mitigate risks, and remove blockers;

  3. Be the owner of the collaboration process and associated tools, SOPs, and trainings to optimize the user experience for internal stakeholders

  4. Holds team members accountable for their owned tasks within a project schedule

  5. Creating, maintaining, and monitoring Program and Project management processes to ensure excellence in execution

  6. Driving project schedules including working through roadblocks to deliver projects on time

  7. Managing continuous improvement projects to shorten project cycle times and improve launch outcomes

About the team

The Product Operations team withing Amazon Fresh Private Brands helps the org build the business by standing up the operational structure needed to scale with low friction. We also support the org in delivering its top goals for the year through partnership, support, and education.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of product management experience

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level

  • Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
