Selling Partners offer hundreds of millions of unique products and are critical to delivering on our vision of offering the Earth’s largest selection and lowest prices. Amazon Stores enables over 2 million third-party selling partners in eleven marketplaces to list their products for sale to Amazon customers across the world. Within our WW Marketplace business, International Seller Services (ISS) oversees the recruiting and development of Selling Partners for all of our international stores (e.g., UK, Germany, Japan). ISS also enables global selling, helping Sellers in one country expand and sell across international Stores.

International Seller Growth is looking for an experienced and dynamic, Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to partner with internal and external teams to help us drive enterprise grade solutions in the Generative AI/LLM space that support our Selling Partners WW. You will collaborate with Product, Science, Data and Software engineering teams to execute on the product vision and roadmap in a data-driven and working backwards from the customer. Where applicable, you will deep dive the Principal Engineers to solidify the technical approach. Along the way, you (as the program leader) will be responsible for defining how the product roadmap is delivered, bringing teams across organizations together, anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, anticipating and when necessary, making trade-offs by balancing the business needs versus technical constraints.

In this role you will demonstrate program management skills and be comfortable to operate at scale, and will have experience in leading large cross-functional and cross-organizational programs. You will be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

Key job responsibilities

  • Interact with Project Sponsors, Technical Program Managers and multiple Science, Data and Engineering teams to define and deliver complex features.

  • Lead the effective and efficient delivery of the large, complex projects.

  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.

  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.

  • Delivering results by driving execution of programs spanning multiple organizations from design to rollout.

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Earning trust through regular communication with stakeholders of all levels.

  • Being resourceful and creative to overcome obstacles and turn challenges into opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
