Amazon Principal Product Manager - Technical, AWS Fintech Product Management in Seattle, Washington

Description

AWS Finance Technology team is looking for a highly motivated Principal Product Manager - Technical. In this role, you will partner with our software development teams in building financial systems for the global AWS business. The success of these systems will be instrumental to AWS’ ability to scale finance capabilities for a fast growing and increasingly complex global organization.

This role will define, execute, and deliver the development and automation of complex planning, reporting, and analysis that delivers the right information to multiple layers of the global AWS organization. You will participate in developing the strategy and vision for the team, and you will develop and maintain product roadmaps and features based on team strategy and vision. This role is inherently cross-functional and you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, finance and executive teams to launch core tools to support financial and business planning technology for the global finance organization.

This position requires a proactive, highly motivated individual with an aptitude for customer focus and critical thinking and who can initiate and manage strategic system development around the globe. This person will take ownership and drive positive change. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, is analytical, detail oriented, and possesses the ability to work well with cross-functional teams including world-wide AWS, finance, and software development teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience technical product management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
