Role Overview: The incumbent will be dedicated 100% to one (1) specific Apex client. The incumbent will work with client management and employees to initiate and facilitate interactive discussions for medical restrictions and qualifications associated with employees' On-The-Job injury cases. Identifies essential job functions and reasonable accommodations, reassignment processes and potential outcomes. Works with Third Party Administrator (TPA) personnel and Workers' Compensation Administrators to assist with detailed claims management. Performs analysis to ensure consistent placement decisions. Facilitates employee's return to work. Documents, maintains, and extracts employee case information and ensures data integrity and confidentiality. Provides early intervention to injured or ill employees to prevent time loss from work. The incumbent will also provide project leadership and project management functions as directed. The incumbent will be a technical expert in their functional area. Will work independently and produce results within budget and timeframe. Your Responsibilities as an Apex Senior Disability Management Representative (DMR): * Provides comprehensive DMR consulting services to clients as described in the Role Overview above. * In collaboration with overall client relationship managers, coordinates and executes the implementation of client specific DMR support objectives within set organizational procedures and standards. * In close routine collaboration with the external customer, executes an agreed-to DMR support plan. Monitors and reports progress on plan completion as directed. Works with numerous internal and external stakeholders in the interest of achieving desired overall goals and outcomes for the role. * Acts as a senior advisor to the customer on DMR issues. Experience and General Expectations: * At least 10 years of experience in the DMR field or in a related area preferred. * Bachelor's degree required. * Possess an extensive knowledge of disability management technical subject matter and application in real-life settings. Highly familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the DMR field. * Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. * Mentors more junior DMR staff on technical issues as needed. * Experience in manufacturing-&-assembly industries / heavy industry settings a plus. * Experience in the aerospace and defense or automotive industry a further plus. * Possess strong interpersonal communication skills. * A great deal of self-starter initiative is required, along with the ability to work independently.
