We’re looking for an amazing Occupational Health and Safety Manager to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle or Miami offices. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all crew members and passengers by reviewing and implementing OHS procedures and policies, analyzing incidents and trends, promoting safety programs, overseeing chemical management, conducting risk assessments, and implementing safety initiatives. This position serves as a liaison between the fleet and the shoreside management, concerning occupational safety and promoting safety awareness to crew and guests.

Responsibilities
OHS Guidance and Management: Provide comprehensive guidance and management for OHS initiatives, overseeing projects, data analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
Subject Matter Expertise and Policy Management: Serve as a SME for OHS-related inquiries, manage company OHS procedures and policies, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Develop and promote onboard safety programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall safety culture. Including support, the OHS program during Dry Docks.
Investigate and analyze reported incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify root causes.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to safety. Prepare and present detailed incident reports and recommendations to senior management.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors during safety inspections and audits. Address safety related audit findings proactively to prevent recurrence of issues.
Produce Toolbox Discussion training for OHS/Safety Operations, as necessary. Including, Review effectiveness / adequacy of safety equipment and PPE to maintain safety standards.
Review and approve SeaEvent major injuries and safety incidents / accidents while monitoring daily all minor and other injury categories. Monitor Near Miss reporting from assigned vessels and follow up on actions when deemed necessary.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)for OHS Operations and related inquiries. Manage the ASKSafety mailbox.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field
Certification: Occupational Health and Safety - OSHA - NASHA, CSP
Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety management, preferably in the maritime or hospitality industry
Knowledgeable in Passenger Shipping Operations preferred
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar OHS certification is highly desirable
Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and ANSI standards
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify hazards, assess risks, interpret data and develop effective actionable insights and control measures
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to emergency situations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence with all levels and leadership across the organization

Please note that this position is HYBRID (3 days a week in office, 2 days WFH), based in our Seattle or Miami offices.

Base Salary Range: $84,100.00 to $113,600.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
