The Role:

The NPI Readiness Manager for Reverse Logistics is responsible for leading and executing all aspects of Screen and Clean readiness for product launches, across the Kindle reverse logistics global network. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams to:

• Define screening processes and documentation to support a global solution for products

• Develop project milestones and manage detailed project plans to support on time readiness for all global locations

• Communicate project status updates to key stakeholders and leadership teams within the Reverse Logistics and Operations organizations

• Manage cross-functional project teams and drive closure on action items and deliverables

• Manage, mitigate and communicate program risks

• Complete line capacity analysis, to include evaluative capital equipment needs

• Perform line readiness evaluations

A day in the life

As an NPI (New Product Introduction) Readiness Manager for Amazon Device Reverse Logistics, your day begins will begin with a meticulous review of global program launch timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of launch development align. Throughout the day, you will drive tactical execution of the launch readiness process, often having to navigate quickly from one challenge to the next as they unfold. This role will also have a strategic component as you will also be a key leader on the team tasked with driving innovative solutions to improve NPI processes, and unblock systemic roadblocks.

About the team

The NPI Execution team is a diverse, upbeat, creative team that works relentlessly to deliver seamless onboarding of new Amazon devices to our Reverse Logistic network across the globe. We own end-to-end management of the NPI launch process, and drive cross-functional execution and strategic initiatives across various functional groups including test and hardware engineering, quality, material planning, and operations. We collaborate, support, help and leverage each other in delivering on these objectives, and strive to raise the bar for our team every day.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Master's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
