Seattle Children's Neuropsychologist/Assessment Psychologist in Seattle, Washington
Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic (OBCC) has locations in Othello and the Central District. Services at the clinics include pediatric medical care, behavioral health, dental services, nutrition, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and more. Since 1970, OBCC has worked to uphold the vision of community organizer Odessa Brown: to bring quality healthcare with dignity to children from birth to young adulthood in the Central District and south Seattle.
Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH) is offering a .6 -.8 FTE Primary Care Assessment psychologist position at the Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic. The position will join the multi-disciplinary Sickle Cell team and will see referrals from our community-based primary care clinic, which include assessment of attention, cognitive, and learning concerns. The position will also include involvement with the concussion team.
Primary responsibilities will include conducting outpatient neuropsychological evaluations, assessment of attention and learning difficulties, and consultations. The provider will participate in weekly multidisciplinary Sickle Cell Clinic where they will provide cognitive screening assessments, comprehensive evaluations, and ongoing consultation to provide recommendations and support for patients’ cognitive and school needs. This role will also include engagement in community outreach and psychoeducation efforts with this population. In addition, the psychologist will conduct cognitive assessments with children with learning, attention, and cognitive concerns referred from primary care as well as psychiatry and behavioral health clinics. Patients may have medical complexities such as genetic disorders and history of traumatic brain injury. The psychologist will also conduct consultation, assessment, and treatment with patients seen in our concussion program. Opportunities for program development and quality improvement work are available. The psychologist will have access to a psychometrist for test administration and scoring.

For Neuropsychologist:
Required Education and Experience
PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited institution.
Completion of an APA accredited internship in clinical psychology.
Completion of formal post-doctoral training in neuropsychology that meets Division 40 criteria.
Experience in a pediatric hospital setting.
Required Credentials
Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Washington.
Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment.
All medical and allied health professional staff members are provisional for the first year.
Any and all medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's will terminate automatically upon the termination of the individual's employment at Children's.
Termination of employment does not prohibit the individual from seeking medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children’s as a non-employee in any category for which the individual qualifies.

For Psychologist:
Required Education and Experience
PhD, PsyD, or Ed.D. in psychology, with specialization in child clinical psychology from an APA-accredited training program.
Completion of an APA-approved internship.
Formal post-doctoral training in an appropriate area of specialization.

Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Washington.

Preferred for either Neuropsychologist or Psychologist
Experience in pediatric primary care
Experience completing epilepsy surgery evaluations including functional MRI, mapping procedures, and Wada.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
Published manuscripts, book chapters, and/or scientific presentations in pediatric neuropsychology.
Experience in child clinical, pediatric, or pediatric primary care settings
Proficiency in test administration and assessment of children
Compensation Range
$71,444 - $155,255 annual USD
Salary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
