GeoEngineers, Inc. Marketing Specialist in Seattle, Washington
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting marketing and business-development activities locally and across the country, as needed. Works closely with other Marketing staff and key stakeholders to identify and respond to new business opportunities. The Marketing Specialist is proactive in identifying and organizing new projects and opportunities to further business development and expand the company's marketing footprint.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Partners with technical experts to strategize and prepare persuasive proposals and statements of qualifications (SOQs). Develops selling points, writes, and edits key proposal sections, and leads final document preparation.
- Monitors trends, opportunities, and competition in local market and/or market sector. Distributes findings to technical leaders and follows up with teaming partners as needed.
- Supports discipline and practice leaders and other technical staff to identify potential projects and build team relationships.
- Creates opportunities for technical staff to interact with existing and potential clients.
- Collaborates with Marketing staff and technical leaders on a variety of projects and tasks as appropriate.
- Develops and maintains marketing materials including resumes, brochures, project sheets, boards and presentation collateral, and advertisements.
- Plans and staffs conference booths and attends community events to promote the company.
- Supports interview preparation and related presentations to support competitive pursuits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field required.
- 3+ years of experience in marketing or related field required -- preferably in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
- 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with organizing, editing, and preparing documents.
- Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high level of initiative, effectively meet set deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- All candidates are subject to completing a background check, and reference check.
- Normal office environment with moderate noise levels, occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs., prolonged sitting and regular walking, bending, standing and reaching.
- Ability to perform consistent work on a PC with prolonged view of a monitor/screen.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as needed.
Our best estimate of the salary for this position, located in Seattle and Redmond WA is $68,400 - $103,800 annually. Our best estimate of the salary for this position, located in Tacoma WA is $65,000 - $98,600 annually. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. GeoEngineers' salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance. As part of our competitive total rewards package, employees in this role may also be eligible for our annual year-end bonus offering, subject to program eligibility requirements.
