Description
The Selling Partner Communities (SPC) team is looking for an experienced Editorial Manager to join our Selling Partner Communications & Content (SPCC) team to lead a team of editors responsible for crafting messaging to inform and inspire our Selling Partners.
The Editorial Manager will be a crucial leader within the SPCC team, responsible for applying the “seller lens” across our worldwide content workstreams. This person will lead a team responsible for content development, editing, establishing tone, and maintaining the quality bar across seller communication forms and channels. They will also work closely with stakeholders across our change management, translation, publish, legal, and PR workstreams to manage and optimize our mechanisms for efficiency and scale.
This is a high visibility role that regularly engages with a wide array of stakeholders of all levels within the broader Seller Partner Services (SPS) organization and worldwide business teams across Amazon. It requires a deep background in writing, content development, stakeholder management, and team leadership.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead a team of writers to develop communications that engage and inspire Selling Partners.
• Define and uphold the bar for external-facing content to communicate with key stakeholders about the exciting work Amazon is doing to support Selling Partner success.
• Lead content reviews with senior leadership and program leaders.
• Manage content production, prioritization and workflow to ensure timely delivery and a high quality bar.
• Collaborate and build partnerships with other internal communications teams, including Communities Product, Technology, Community Advisor groups, PR, and Legal.
• Work across teams to drive content and programs for the Selling Partner community.
• Advocate for the seller experience.
About the team
The Selling Partner Communities and Empowerment organization (Communities) builds lasting connections with, and drives the success of our Selling Partners (SPs).
Our products, such as Seller News and Forums, are currently used by millions of Selling Partners worldwide to engage with Amazon and foster an active and inclusive community and information exchange among SPs. These products also provide valuable insights into Selling Partner sentiment and issues.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree
6+ years demonstrated communications experience.
4+ years team management experience.
Excellence in content creation or editing, including online publishing.
Editorial leadership background and proofreading skills, as well as experience owning editorial and technical style guides.
Strong oral and written communicator, comfortable with senior management visibility.
Experience managing content projects, including coordinating with other teams.
Demonstrated experience in cross-functional program or project management with the ability to lead through influence.
Preferred Qualifications
Project management skills and experience, including managing stakeholders and multiple projects at once.
Strong sense of brand and editorial voice; the ability to harmonize message across multiple channels and vehicles.
Strong analytical and research capabilities.
Experience with technical or product-focused content.
Familiarity with the tech industry and e-commerce landscape.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
