Providence St. Joseph Health Mammography Assistant in Seattle, Washington
Description Coordinates daily patient care activities with the mammography technologist by providing assistance to maintain a smooth and efficient process. Assistant will meet and greet patients in a professional and friendly manner. May need to assist patients with paperwork. Expected to complete registration of patients on board the mobile coaches. Maintain and stock supplies. Coordinates the flow of patients between intake area and mammography room. May need to assist patients in setting up follow-up or diagnostic appointments. During downtime, may be required to assist in the Comprehensive Breast Center performing support functions such as filing, scheduling and registering patients. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Coursework or certification in Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary or Health Unit Coordinator. 6 months of related experience in a medical imaging department and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. General experience regarding medical office paperwork preferred; including billing, coding and medical terminology. Why Join Providence?
