Maintenance/Housekeeper - Posting #26553

Hourly Rate: $20

Position Summary:

On-call Maintenance/Housekeeper position available at Cannon House, our long term care assisted living facility in Seattle, WA. This position is responsible for the daily upkeep of the facility, which includes ensuring a safe, sanitary, and home-like environment for its residents, visitors, and employees. 

General Duties:

  • Performs janitorial and maintenance tasks following general health and safety guidelines. 

  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager.

  • Maintains all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows all prescribed safety regulations.

  • Maintains and provides a regular inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment to the department manager on a weekly basis.

  • The incumbent will be expected to perform maintenance and/or repair services to, and

therefore must be knowledgeable about:

  • HVAC Units (filters, motors, external upkeep)

  • Wall repair

  • Carpet laying

  • Plastering

  • Plumbing

  • Carpentry

  • Painting

  • Electrical Work

  • Grounds maintenance and repairs

  • Building maintenance and repairs

  • Equipment maintenance and repairs

  • Performs regularly scheduled floor maintenance that includes shampooing carpets in resident rooms and common areas.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • 1-2 years of maintenance experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.

  • Possess carpentry, plumbing, light electrical, and machine repair skills.
