This role is part of Enterprise Engineering, where we provide technical standards, tools, processes, training, and subject matter expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. EE allows all Blue Origin business units to benefit from commonly used capabilities, hardware, and software and assists business units in identifying, selecting, and training engineers from both inside and outside the organization. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers, you will design and deploy test systems and software for in-situ avionics test with a focus on the space environment. You will design LabVIEW data acquisition and control systems based on NI CompactRIO, CompactDAQ, PXI, and other hardware to monitor the effects of simulated space environments on avionics and launch vehicles. In this role, your primary responsibilities will be to build upon our common software architecture, writing new libraries and optimizing test code within our team. You will participate in hardware demos utilizing LabVIEW code, craft additions to our frameworks, and develop user interfaces. You will also drive and oversee use of the LabVIEW test systems during tests at external test facilities. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in LabVIEW with knowledge of object-oriented design, test automation, and software component development 2+ years of experience with NI Real-Time systems and software development (LinuxRT & Phar-Lap)highly preferred Direct experience using NI hardware B.S. degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering. Other engineering or science degrees or work history will be considered if experience in above responsibilities is met Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Ability to travel up to 25% Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Desired: Experience with Actor Framework, unit testing, validation, code reuse, advanced architectures, hardware, and software abstraction layers National Instruments certification in LabVIEW development: CLD, CLA, CLED, or Professional Instructor NI TestStand sequence development, user interfaces, process model customization, and LabVIEW API Experience with LabVIEW Real-Time, FPGA, and application deployment Experience working with electrical control systems and industrial sensors and actuators: pressure, temperature, LVDT, bridge, accelerometers, and motion/servo controllers Project management experience, delivering results on-time and on-budget Experience working in a test environment Compensation Range for: WA applicants is $115,290.00-$161,406.00 Other site ranges may differ Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
