This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we're developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space, with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origin's mission. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies. You will be a member of the Enterprise Technology Infrastructure and Operations team, which is focused on cloud management & security, datacenter operations, identity and access, PKI, email, storage, backups, and privileged access management. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of experts, you will contribute to these and other technologies. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, contributing to innovative solutions, while demonstrating personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support aspects of infrastructure and operations, including availability, reliability, security, performance, and monitoring related functions. Solution delivery and support of a wide range of services within Amazon Web Services (AWS). Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end. Provide sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes always with an eye on improvement. Sharing knowledge and experience in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering standard methodologies. Drive and lead improvements across the technology spectrum. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Available to support flexible work hours to support various mission objectives. Able to travel to our other Blue Origin facilities to support mission objectives as needed. Regular participation in on-call rotation. Qualifications: Diverse background in all aspects of information technology. Minimum of a B.S. degree in information systems or computer science, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years' experience working in IT administration and/or SRE within IT administration/engineering. Experience with O365 and other cloud technologies. Expert level automation and scripting skills. Understanding of TCP/IP, network layers, DNS, and other fundamentals of IT. Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Desired: Familiarity with cyber security principles such as JIT access, JEA access, and privileged access management. Experience with modern authentication, MFA, and single sign-on technologies. Experience with PKI, Azure,Entra ID and other SaaS solutions. Experience with modern storage solutions including AWS S3, SMB, and NFS.
