As an Industrial Engineering Manager, you will be a part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will work with a team of manufacturing, mission operations, and design teams while growing a team of Industrial Engineers. We seek people who are passionate about space and possess a strong desire to continuously learn and improve. We are seeking a proactive, collaborative individual with excellent project management acuity, analytical ability, and team development skills that can thrive in a fast-paced environment while developing procedures within the team. In addition to people management, you will also be responsible for direct technical support to the site (60% manager, 40% individual contributor). We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Travel expected up to 20% of the time Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Organize, hire, and equip the team and assure that they are trained and capable: Set, execute and achieve team goals. Develop and maintain team performance metrics. Provide training to a team of highly technical Industrial Engineers on best practices. Help coordinate access to key technical resources (e.g., standards, journals, references). Develop technical work instructions for industrial engineering scope of work. Help develop, maintain, and implement a plan for acquiring software, models, analysis tools needed, and processes for capturing best practices. Coordinate and integrate with other functional groups across the company. Staff projects appropriately, reconciling project needs with staff capabilities and time commitments. Manage your direct reports' professional development (e.g., hiring, performance evaluations, compensation and promotion management, routine one-on-one development conversations) and coach them to perform. Ensure staff are properly trained, including to operate within the Blue Origin safety culture. Proactively counsel your employees' career growth, by understanding their unique goals, capabilities, and experience to match against current and future needs. Facilitate development opportunities for your employees to align with the larger Industrial Engineering team capability gaps, advance the capabilities of the team's community of practice, and increase employee satisfaction. Perform technical work and provide technical leadership in the fields of: Lead and complete quarterly rate study analysis. Provide input and critical data to support Financial Planning processes. Lead Manufacturing-related Projects. Production Support- Production Scheduling, Inventory, Theory of Constraints, Budgets and Forecasts, Crew Empowerment, Defect Analysis and Benchmarking Analysis, Core Competency Definition, Resource Allocation, Scenario Planning, Discrete Event Simulation, Make/Buy Evaluations, and Cost/Price Evaluations. Process Improvement- Lean Manufacturing, Engineering Economic Analysis, Process Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Methods, Six Sigma, Time Studies, Waste Reduction, and Wo
