$2,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible full-time and part-time new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center- Montlake– Waste Management/Linen Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Hospital Custodian .

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 100% FTE (40 hours per week)

  • Day Shift POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Perform routine waste management duties, including check and replaces all sharps and chemotherapy waste containers in soiled utility room and other areas as required PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine activity of picking up and replaces all soiled linens, soiled municipal, and regulated medical waste carts on the unit

  • Routinely picking up sharps, Chemotherapy and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) waste containers, RX Destroyer bins in a designated areas and replaces all soiled linens, soiled municipal, and regulated medical waste carts on the unit

  • Handling regulated medical waste and processes it in the sterilizer machine

  • Pick up all recyclables, compostable material pick up cardboard and processes it in a cardboard baler machine

  • Follow written and/or verbal instructions regarding the use of chemicals, supplies and equipment; comply with safety policies and procedures

  • Report need for repair and/or maintenance
