Key job responsibilities

As a Hardware Product Integrity Lab Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to test and develop state-of-the-art concepts.

You will work closely with multiple teams to define testing parameters and drive test execution. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

To succeed, you will be an expert in the following:

  • Researching, designing, setting up and managing multiple tests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to communicate findings directly to engineers and through detailed reports.

  • Independently seek out, manage and execute projects and testing assignments while keeping the leadership team abreast of progress, issues and potential road blocks.

  • Communicating ideas and concepts effectively, and able to provide concrete feedback to team members, colleagues and customers in a timely manner.

  • Identify and manage lab infrastructure improvement projects to completion.

  • Navigating ambiguous problems with minimal guidance

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience working in Hardware

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.

  • Reliability Testing, Environmental Testing Aerospace Testing or related field to include HALT, Temperature/Humidity Testing, Temperature Cycling, Shock, Drop, Vibration, Salt Fog/Spray, UV Exposure etc.

  • This position can have up to 10% international and domestic travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a cross functional team and accommodate flexible loading

  • Experience with Failure Analysis and sample preparation such as mechanical cross-sectioning.

  • Proficiency in Office, Labview, Matlab, a scripting/programming environment (e.g. VBA, Python, C#, Perl), JMP, or Minitab

  • Demonstrated ability to research and identify required specifications

  • Demonstrated ability to read schematics and circuit drawings

  • Experience in writing test reports

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
