Overview: HKS is seeking a Firmwide Immersive Technology Specialist to join our team. Develops stunning immersive and interactive environments for architectural projects. Possesses and applies a diversified knowledge of immersive technology processes and procedures to complete assignments with originality and ingenuity. Anticipates job expectations while performing design and technical tasks requiring application of standard techniques and knowledge. Responsibilities: Project Works independently on all phases of a visualization project including creating custom immersive experiences on firmwide projects using game technologies such as Unreal Understands and defines requirements for real time visualization per project Helps develop workflows for architectural visualization, virtual, augmented and mixed reality experiences on firmwide projects Works in a team environment, communicates updates, participates in discussions and researches the best approach per project Researches new tools and stays abreast of latest developments in the visualization industry to share firmwide Conducts training and shares knowledge with a global group of designers and Regional Immersive Technology Specialists Cultural Supports the firm's cultural values, including a commitment to quality, innovation, learning and growth Acts with positive, service-driven attitude with a commitment to going above and beyond to help customers and team members Acts as a mentor by coaching and motivating project team members Seeks leadership opportunities by providing direction and feedback to team members and collaborating with team leaders Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team Promotes the firm's principles of 'design excellence' through the integration of responsible and sustainable design practice with the art of design Financial Collaborates in and may be responsible for delivering project on defined budget requirements Applies skills to minimize risks, maximize value and seeks means to improve efficiencies and reduce costs Responsible for the financial implications of overhead and chargeable time, including accountability to project plan and planned utilization rate Revenue or Opportunity Generation Participates and may assist in leading in the pursuit and marketing of potential projects May assist in negotiating scope and fees on contracts; monitors for changes in scope to initiate additional service letters Works as an active professional voice for HKS in conferences and professional forums May assist in identifying, maintaining and cultivating essential relationships Qualifications: Accredited professional degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Graphics, Animation, or related field preferred Typically 5+ years of experience in the visualization industry with typically 2+ years of developing for immersive experiences for games, architectural visualization or related field Advanced knowledge of 3D game development tools and concepts; Unreal preferred Advanced knowledge of 3ds Max Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred Proven ability to create engaging real time immersive and interactive experiences Strong understanding of VR/AR/MR development Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff Strong work ethic and eagerness to produce high quality, accurate results Proven ability to deliver business change through the innovative use of technology Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity Ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing Ability to proactively problem solve and apply innovative solutions
