Amazon Finance Manager, Prime Video in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon.com is seeking a Finance Manager for the Prime Video live Sports and Channels businesses in Latin America, Canada, Australia, and other emerging locales.

This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional who is passionate about sports, enjoys digital entertainment, and is looking for a challenge in a high growth, new business environment. Live sports and channels (ad-on subscriptions to third party video subscription services) are key components of the overall Prime Video business in providing a wide selection of content for our customers from premium US content to local sports distribution.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with the sports strategy and business teams to build financial models that evaluate potential investment opportunities.

  • Manage the financial planning, analysis, and reporting of various metrics and identify risks and opportunities in areas of responsibility.

  • Influence business decisions by effective verbal and written communication, data driven analyses, modeling, and presentations of alternatives.

  • Participate as a key finance stakeholder on cross functional teams.

  • Manage multiple competing priorities effectively.

  • Develop new performance metrics and improve existing processes to drive insight, accountability, and control.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel

  • Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
