Field Service Education & Enablement Manager Job Locations US-WA ID 2024-16707 Job Function Service & Support Overview The goal of the Field Service Education and Enablement Manager is to provide Field Service Engineers with the knowledge to independently perform Installations, Preventative Maintenance, Operational Qualifications, Performance Qualifications, troubleshooting, and repair of complex mechanical, optical, and fluidic instrumentation. They will be considered a subject matter expert (SME) on NanoString's instrumentation and will be responsible for the successful training, education, and support of new and existing FSEs, distributors, and internal NanoString resources. This rewarding role will require a self-motivated, energetic, communicative, friendly, patient and collaborative individual who has a passion for teaching, coaching and continuing education. This role will be a hybrid role, based out of our Bothell, WA offices, but will conduct training classes globally. This position reports to the Associate Director of Global Field Service within the Customer Experience Organization. This position is "Remote" so we are considering candidates accross the U.S. Responsibilities Essential Functions: Train Field Service Engineers and internal personnel in all our platforms Travel to training sites globally to prepare and host training classes Develop and implement course content for In-person and Online Training. Create and continuously improve existing training and educational material Write and edit current SOPs and FRMs to create training content. Collect and manage all training needs and requests Manage training certificates and training records Assist with documentation edits and updates Assist with SOP and Procedure testing prior to release Repair and maintain training instruments to ensure units are in good working order Qualifications Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Hands-on field service experience preferably in the biotech / life science / robotics field(s). This includes working on systems in customer laboratories and observing proper biohazard safety precautions 3 years of practical experience as Field Service Engineer or Product Support Engineer for Life Science or medical device industry (or) 3 years of experience in design or development for Life Science or medical device industry (or) 3 years of leading complex technical training courses Experience with leading training Analytical and creative problem-solving skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent presentation skills Ability to set goals for the team and achieve scheduled deadlines Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams Ability to multi-task and take a creative approach to problem solving Demonstrated problem solving skills in a complex fast paced environment and in complex situations Proficient in the use of MS Office Strong troubleshooting skills. Specifically, in the areas of: General electronics, electromechanical systems, robotics, liquid handlers, computers, and associated networking components General understanding of IT and basic networking setup Willingness and Availability to travel; overnight travel up to 75% per month. Must possess a valid passport and be able to obtain visas to travel internationally. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move approximately 80-100 lbs on an infrequent basis. Able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing in both English. Additional language proficiency is preferred. At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $94,000 and $133,00
