As the Drafting Reviewer for Lunar Permanence you will be responsible for verifying that readable and technical unambiguous drawing and model-based definition packages are created prior to releasing engineering to manufacturing teams. You will work with product design teams across spacecraft subsystems as well as configuration management to ensure compliance to applicable industry and Blue Origin-specific standards. You will also coordinate with design teams to establish drawing and model best practices and processes to facilitate efficient consistent and efficient product release workflows for both high risk, rapid prototyping hardware as well as high reliability flight production hardware. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and attention towards safe and reliable spaceflight. Responsibilities: Validate drawings for compliance to drafting standards such as ASME Y14.5 Validate standard drawing notes and flag notes Verify 3D / 2D alignment between the modeled components and the bill of materials Verify alignment of identifying fields and metadata across release package contents, including nomenclature, revision level, and part numbering. Ensure 3D solid is consistent with 2D drawing Develop and document efficient drawing creation practices and processes across engineering product teams Embody, promote, and coach the Blue Origin leadership principles Participate in highly collaborative and integrated engineering environments for both rapid prototype and flight production hardware Qualifications: Experience with the technical release process at a major airframe or spacecraft manufacturer Experience with Windchill product lifecycle management and Creo CAD applications Experience with drafting and GD&T standard practices Experience in 2D drawing creation and revision Experience in 3D model-based definition Excellent written and oral communication skills Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or another technical field Desired: Experience in both small, rapid prototyping and large, flight production engineering organizations and product release environments Compensation Range for: WA applicants is $115,935.00-$162,309.00 Other site ranges may differ Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
