WORK SCHEDULE 90% FTE (36 hours a week) Night Shift

UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): 5 Medical/Telemetry Unit. We are a 36-bed general medical unit with cardiac telemetry. Our unit cares for a variety of patients, including patients transferring from our ICU and Emergency Department. CNAs work in close partnership with our nurses and each other. This is a great opportunity to work on a team that values teamwork, professionalism, and cooperation.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Patient care consistent with nursing unit standards and procedures Plan and schedule assigned patient care activities to maximize efficiency and quality of care Provide functional assistance to patients including dressing, undressing, toileting, eating, bathing, oral care, and hygiene, and supports plan for nutrition and hydration Answer patient call lights promptly and respond appropriately to patient’s needs Patient observation, reporting, and recordkeeping related to patient care Support nursing staff with patient plan of care Lift, position, ambulate and transfer patients

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Satisfactory completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant training program and certification. Active, valid Nursing Assistant-Certification (NA-C) in Washington State upon start date. American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire.
