In this role you will work as part of an interdisciplinary team contributing to a diverse set of projects from industries such as construction, consumer products, infrastructure, and manufacturing. Candidates should have an advanced degree (Ph.D. or equivalent), with related industrial experience considered a plus.This position requires strong technical communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the desire to learn concepts that may be adjacent to the candidate's core expertise. This position also requires some travel and will involve collaboration with scientists and engineers from other Exponent offices and practices. The successful candidate will possess extensive practical knowledge of the physical, chemical and mechanical behavior of polymer systems as well as experimental design related to material characterization. A successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to lead technical teams and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. A long-term goal for a successful candidate will be to develop business by obtaining new projects and bringing new clients to the firm.
